French Fries, or What Makes Me Dutch...

I know that national identity is a big deal to a lot of people. It is not to me, and it has never really been. A couple of years ago I even wrote an essay about how my supposedly Dutch identity has much to do with the fact that I happen to be born in this country rather than in any other. However, while consuming fries today I realised that there is something that makes me very Dutch: mayonaise! I swear to you, NO FRENCH FRIES WITHOUT MAYONAISE! And I case you don't understand, watch Pulp Fiction (and pay attention)...

Ketchup! It's gotta be ketchup; no mayo! ;) I suppose that's part of my American identity.
